Preparation Steps
- Begin by preparing your apples. Peel, core, and slice into fry-shaped sticks, roughly ½ inch thick. Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Create a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with a whisked mixture of egg and milk, and one with panko, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip it in the egg mixture, and finally roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then place the coated apple fries in a single layer.
- Set air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
- Remove and let cool slightly. Toss in cinnamon sugar before serving.
