Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with a bit of oil or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a shallow dish, add cornstarch, and in another bowl, beat your eggs. Coat each piece of chicken in cornstarch, then dip into the beaten eggs.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the chicken pieces.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, orange juice, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, red chili flakes, and orange zest.
- Place the browned chicken in the greased baking dish and pour the orange sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Once cooked through and caramelized, let it rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with green onions.
