- Begin by rolling out your sweet roll dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle, approximately 12x16 inches, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Spoon blueberry pie filling or compote evenly over the top.
- Starting from the long side, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 12 even pieces.
- Place the sliced rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise in a warm spot for about 30-40 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once risen, bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
