Preparation
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Layer a single layer of graham crackers at the bottom of the dish.
- Spread a generous layer of apple pie filling over the graham crackers.
- Prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions and spread it over the apple pie filling.
- Repeat the layering process until ingredients are used, finishing with vanilla pudding on top.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the final layer of pudding.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Slice the cake with a sharp knife and serve, garnishing with fresh apple slices and extra caramel if desired.
