Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Season both sides of the boneless chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Let it rest for a few minutes.
- Melt half a cup of butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic and, if desired, Italian herbs. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Spread a generous amount of garlic butter on each slice of garlic bread. Place a layer of cooked chicken on one slice, followed by mozzarella cheese. Top with another slice of garlic bread, pressing down gently.
- Place the assembled sandwiches in the baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the garlic bread is golden brown.
- Let the sandwiches cool slightly before slicing. Serve hot, possibly with a drizzle of your favorite sauce.

Notes
For healthier alternatives, substitute with lean proteins and whole grain bread. Pair with a side salad or another dish for a balanced meal.
