Method
 

Preparation
  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into black or red sugar to rim the glass.
  2. Combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, cranberry or pomegranate juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add a drop of black food coloring or a teaspoon of activated charcoal, then shake briefly.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice cubes, shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until frosty.
  5. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
  6. Garnish with lime wedge, gummy worms, candy eyeballs, or dry ice.
