For the Noodles
  • 8 ounces Ramen Noodles Feel free to substitute with udon or soba noodles.
For the Aromatics

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by seasoning the beef chuck with salt and pepper on all sides to enhance its flavor. Place the beef in the slow cooker, ensuring it sits flat at the bottom.
  2. Layer the sliced onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger over the beef in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the beef broth and water into the slow cooker, add the soy sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar, stirring gently to combine.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
  5. About 10 minutes before serving, bring a pot of water to a boil, add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Stir in the baby spinach into the slow cooker, allowing it to wilt in the hot broth for a couple of minutes.
  7. Ladle the tender beef and rich broth over the cooked ramen noodles in bowls, garnishing with sliced green onions and optional toppings.
