Cooking Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain remaining water, and set aside pasta.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, add to skillet, and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, add garlic and onion, sauté for 3-4 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth, mix in Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper. Simmer for around 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken and pasta to skillet, tossing to combine. Add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Plate the pasta, sprinkle Parmesan cheese and parsley on top, and serve warm.
