- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Mix granulated sugar, salt, nutmeg, and ground cinnamon in a medium bowl.
- Combine rinsed cranberries, chopped pecans, orange zest, and juice in another bowl, then toss with the sugar blend.
- Pour the cranberry filling into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, placing slices of butter on top before sprinkling the flour mixture over it.
