  • 1 tsp dried basil or to taste
  • 1 cup fresh basil chiffonade
For the Flavor Boost
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar aged is recommended

For Serving
  • 1 box gluten-free crackers
  • 1 bag toast rounds

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, dried basil, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
  2. Transfer the cream cheese mixture into a pie plate or shallow serving dish and spread evenly.
  3. Cut fresh mozzarella into small cubes and layer over the cream cheese base.
  4. Dice cherry tomatoes and sprinkle over the mozzarella layer.
  5. Chiffonade fresh basil and sprinkle over the tomatoes.
  6. Whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar and drizzle evenly over the assembled layers.
  7. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the dip and serve immediately with crackers or toast rounds.
