Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and minced garlic. Whisk together until well blended and creamy, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Set the dressing aside.
  2. In a large salad bowl, start with a generous base of your favorite lettuce greens. Aim for about 4 cups for a lovely, filling salad. Toss gently to ensure they’re well mixed.
  3. Slice 2 ripe pears into thin wedges and toss them with lemon juice to prevent browning. Arrange over the mixed greens.
  4. Sprinkle in candied walnuts and pomegranate arils over the salad, followed by 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds.
  5. Finely chop a shallot and sprinkle it over the salad. Then, crumble approximately 1/2 cup of blue cheese over the top.
  6. Drizzle your prepared dressing over the salad, tossing gently to ensure every bite has a balance of greens, pears, nuts, and cheese. Serve immediately!
