Method
 

Preparation

  3. Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin layer.
  5. Scatter chopped pecans over the cake mix, then drizzle melted butter evenly.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown, with a toothpick coming out clean or with moist crumbs.
  7. Let the cake cool completely in the dish on a wire rack.
  8. Cut into squares and serve with Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream.
