Step 1: Prepare Tea
- Choose your brewing method. For cold brewing, place black tea bags in a pitcher filled with cold water and refrigerate for 12 hours. For hot brewing, boil water and pour it over the tea bags in a heatproof pitcher, steep for 5-6 minutes, then allow to cool.
Step 2: Make Watermelon Puree
- Cut a ripe watermelon into cubes and blend until smooth. Optionally mix in sugar, honey, or a sugar substitute. Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a pulp-free blend.
Step 3: Combine and Serve
- Pour the cooled tea into a pitcher, followed by the watermelon puree, stirring gently to combine. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh herbs or citrus.
Step 4: Store Leftovers
- Store leftovers in airtight containers separately. The iced tea and puree can last up to two days; stir the tea before serving.
