Cooking Steps
- Begin by heating a medium skillet over medium heat and adding your thick-cut bacon strips. Sauté for about 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. Remove the bacon and let it drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet with the residual bacon drippings, add butter or olive oil over medium heat. Once melted, add shallots and sauté for about 8–10 minutes, until golden brown and tender.
- Drizzle in honey, balsamic vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine, cooking for 3–5 minutes until the glaze thickens and becomes glossy.
- Return the crispy bacon to the skillet, crumbling it if preferred, and mix gently. Warm together for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir gently. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy.
