Step-by-Step Instructions for Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Buns
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make four shallow cuts on top of each King's Hawaiian roll.
  3. Combine cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and salt in a bowl and blend until smooth.
  4. Fill each roll with the cream cheese mixture using a piping bag.
  5. Whisk together unsalted butter, egg, milk, sweetened condensed milk, garlic, salt, parsley, and paprika to make the garlic custard.
  6. Dip each filled roll into the garlic custard quickly and place on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush remaining garlic from the custard on top of the buns.
  8. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the rolls if using.
  9. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
