Preparation
  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter in a bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of the trifle dish, reserving some for topping.
  2. Whip heavy cream in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  3. In the bowl used for whipped cream, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, key lime juice, lime zest, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  4. Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  5. Layer half of the lime cream mixture over crust, sprinkle reserved crumbs and then top with remaining lime mixture.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and set.
