Step-by-Step Instructions for Mango Iced Tea
- Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once boiling, add your black tea bags or loose leaf tea and allow it to steep for 3 minutes until fragrant. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaf and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey until fully dissolved. Set the tea aside to cool completely.
- While the tea is cooling, take 1 ripe mango and dice it into small cubes. In a blender, combine the diced mango with ½ cup of cold water and blend on high until you achieve a smooth, thick mango pulp.
- Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl or pitcher and pour the mango pulp through it. Use a spatula to press down, extracting as much mango nectar as possible.
- Fill glasses with ice, leaving room for tea and mango nectar. Pour the cooled tea into each glass until it reaches about two-thirds full. Layer the freshly strained mango nectar on top.
- Garnish your Mango Iced Tea with fresh mango slices on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
