Preparation Steps
- Start by peeling and dicing the ripe mangoes, aiming for about 2 cups. Hull and slice the fresh strawberries.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the diced mangoes, sliced strawberries, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of water, and optional lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if desired. Blend briefly again.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow container, cover tightly, and freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, stirring every couple of hours.
- Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.
