Cookie Preparation Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and dark brown sugar until fluffy and light.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until thoroughly combined and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, hot cocoa mix, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape tablespoons of dough into balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then press halved marshmallows onto each cookie.
- Return to oven for an additional 2 minutes.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with melted chocolate.
