Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar, whisking until smooth and creamy.
- Incorporate mashed very ripe bananas, egg, and vanilla extract into the butter and sugar mixture and stir gently.
- Sift the whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt over the wet ingredients, then fold them in carefully.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with butter, then pour the batter into the dish.
- Bake for 30-34 minutes until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
