Preparation
- Squeeze fresh lemons until you have about 1 cup of juice, straining out any seeds.
- In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 4 cups of cold water and 1 cup of sugar, stirring thoroughly until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Set aside your lemonade base to chill while you prepare the peaches.
- Wash 4 to 5 ripe peaches under cold water, slice them in half, removing the pits, and cut the halves into thin wedges.
- In a blender, combine the sliced peaches, 1 cup of the prepared lemonade base, and 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the peach puree into the pitcher containing your lemonade base, optionally strain for a smoother consistency.
- Add a handful of sliced peaches and lemon wedges to the pitcher for garnish.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Peach Lemonade over the ice.
- For a cocktail version, add 1 cup of vodka and stir gently.
