Ingredients

  • 6 large Hard Boiled Eggs Oven-baked for perfect results.
  • 6 slices Thick Cut Bacon Can substitute with turkey bacon.
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Quartered for easy layering.
  • 1 cup Lettuce Romaine or iceberg recommended.
  • 2 medium Roma Tomatoes Select ripe tomatoes.
For the Condiments
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise Mashed avocado can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Optional based on preference.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) for the perfect hard-boiled eggs.
  2. Place the eggs in a muffin tin to prevent rolling and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Once done, transfer them to an ice bath for 10 minutes to halt the cooking process.
  4. Cook your thick cut bacon in a skillet over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until crispy.
  5. Peel the cooled hard-boiled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  6. On the bottom half of each egg white, place a small piece of crisp lettuce, followed by a thin slice of Roma tomato.
  7. Add a quarter piece of cheddar cheese and a piece of crispy bacon on top.
  8. Top each bite with a small dollop of mayonnaise and a touch of mustard, if using.
  9. Carefully place the top half of each egg back and secure with a toothpick.
  10. Season each bite with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper and serve on a platter.
