Jello Layer

  • 2 cups Boiling water Activates the Jello
  • 1 quart Strawberries Hulled and sliced; frozen strawberries can work if thawed

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coarsely crush the pretzels.
  2. Combine crushed pretzels with melted butter and 1/4 cup sugar, then press into a baking pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until golden, then cool completely.
  4. Mix cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth, then fold in whipped topping.
  5. Spread the cream cheese layer over the cooled crust and refrigerate.
  6. Boil 2 cups of water, dissolve the Jello, and let it cool slightly.
  7. Pour the Jello layer over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for 2-4 hours until set.
  8. Cut into squares and serve, optionally garnished with whipped cream or strawberries.
