Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8"x8" baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Melt the salted butter and let it cool slightly before adding it to the dry ingredients, along with pure vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  4. Press about two-thirds of the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. While the crust bakes, wash, hull, and chop fresh strawberries into bite-sized pieces.
  6. Remove the crust from the oven and layer the reserved crumb mixture on top, followed by the chopped strawberries.
  7. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until the top layer is golden and bubbly.
  8. Allow cooling slightly for at least 10 minutes before whisking together the glaze ingredients and drizzling over the bars.
