  • 1 cup Provolone Cheese Swiss cheese can also be used.

  • 4 ounces Deli Ham Prosciutto can make it leaner.
  • 4 ounces Salami Can substitute with pepperoni.
For Added Flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise Greek yogurt is a lighter alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can be used for a milder flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Fresh oregano can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic for bolder flavor.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of Italian bread.
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Place one slice of buttered bread in the skillet and toast until golden brown (3-4 minutes).
  4. Layer mozzarella and provolone on the toasted bread, followed by deli ham and salami.
  5. Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the second slice of bread and place it on top of the fillings.
  6. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, pressing gently with a spatula.
  7. Flip the sandwich and toast the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  8. Remove from skillet, sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder, cut, and serve.
