Method
 

Caramelizing Onions and Preparing Au Jus
  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced yellow onions and stir frequently for 12-15 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of low-sodium beef broth, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 minced clove of garlic, and a few sprigs of fresh thyme. Simmer for about 5 minutes and season with salt and black pepper.
Assembling and Grilling Sandwiches
