Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Walking Taco Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 13x9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onions for about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and 1 cup of water, bring to a gentle boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix in black beans, diced tomatoes with green chiles, and sour cream; heat through for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Layer Fritos at the bottom of the baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture and then shredded cheese. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly, then serve with additional Fritos and desired toppings.
